Behold, the Mighty and Majestic TimeOff.org!

This is the recreational side of Wishniak, LLC, where we kick off the boots, relax & play. A multi-purpose domain, timeoff.org hosts a number of personal and community-oriented properties, runs the listservs, the blogs, email, media & experiments. Some stuff is visible and some isn't, all subject to the whims and follies of their creators. Thanks for dropping by, and enjoy your Time Off - we sure do!

Another Summer Come And Gone

Chopper Girl

We're pretty sure we wrote that last year, too. That's because summer's our time of year. Some complain about the heat and humidity but you won't hear any complaints around here. When the weather droid has HHH on the forecast we tell him there's not enough H. We want hazy, hot, humid AND hellish.

Air-cooled bikes tend to not like the heat, though. We made simple improvements to a couple of the bikes here that turned out to be pretty successful. Rick will be blogging about those changes.

In other wrenching news, the Jeep we mentioned a while back ruptured a brake line. Rick, who's a bit on the crazy side, wrote about how brakes aren't so much of a necessity but more of a convenience. We can't recommend driving without brakes, naturally.

Speaking of Rick, he's latched into Google+, their latest venture into the social media space, in a pretty big way. He says, "Google+ needs more bikers!" Lots of smart, creative people over there, we're told, unlike Facebook. Go check out Google+, and circle Rick when you do.

The riding and event calendar's pretty much spent. Seemed kinda busy there for a while but comparing to past years shows it was actually a little light. Still, we had a blast and we hope you did, too.

Linguistical Obama

Obama on High

One of the more fun pages we had running here called attention to the additions to our language brought about by the election of President Obama. Additions have trickled off but we thought it would be fun to preserve the page.

Submitted for your amusement. Please feel free to drop us a line if you've got one to add. Thanks.
